Since 1998
Sebastiano Produce was established in 1998 by Sebastiano Sparacio. With a background in business and commerce, he moved to Richmond in the early 1990s to find a better opportunity for himself and his family.
With several family members in the restaurant industry, he soon realized there was an opportunity to open a produce company and serve local restaurants. He started small, with a little storage area and a truck. By the early 2000s Sebastiano Produce had become a household name in the restaurant field — but his customers were demanding more.
The restaurant business is an ever-changing landscape, and Sebastiano — a savvy entrepreneur — knew it. Between the need to better serve their customers and an opportunity to grow, Sebastiano, along with his two sons-in-law Alex and Andrea, expanded the company to become Sebastiano Foods & Produce. They expanded the warehouse, added several more trucks, and grew the portfolio to hundreds of items, positioning the company to better serve its current and future customers.
What started out as a backup company for restaurants — with the convenience of same-day delivery — is today a full wholesale distributor, and has become a trusted brand for many restaurants across the region. Staying true to their beginnings, Sebastiano Foods & Produce continue to provide daily delivery of fresh, quality products.
